Texas Tech applies to drill two wells at Oilfield Technology Center 

The center boasts a fully functional tank battery and processing equipment, a simulated natural gas well and all the facilities associated with a gas well.

Coming soon is a 5,000-square-foot facility that will be a combination 50-person classroom and a workshop. The workshop space will include exhibits of cut-away models of larger oilfield equipment. Aside  from the models of the larger equipment, the other equipment – from the wellbore and surface equipment, production equipment, casing and subsurface pumps will be full-size if cutaways so students can see them actually in the ground.
